My steps are not moving my Scout

The app says no step data is readable

Open the iOS Settings app, go to Health, then Data Access and Devices, choose Bytewalk and turn on Steps. Apple does not tell apps whether access was declined, so this is the place to check.

Alerts

Turn alerts on or off under the profile button on Journey, in Notifications. Once steps are connected, Bytewalk checks them in the background about once an hour when iOS allows it. With alerts on, it tells you when your Scout reaches a decision or a boss, and when something happens in your crew. iOS does not run this check while your iPhone is locked, so an alert can arrive a little after you stop walking.

Changing my Scout

Open the Scout tab and tap "Customise name, frame and colours".

Crews

Open the Crew tab to create a crew or join one with an invite code. A crew has up to five members. If you leave, your own solo progress is waiting for you.

I bought the Expedition Pass but a region is still locked

Make sure you are signed in, then open the Pass screen and tap Restore Purchases. If it is still locked, email us.

Cancelling the Expedition Pass

Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Bytewalk. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting my account

On Journey, tap the profile button at the top right, then "Delete my account and data". See the Privacy Policy for what is removed and what is kept.
